Hi! Well, I was finally "on" last night. Of course I never really had rehearsal, but it was for "Majella" and I did get to do a bit of her track during tech. I guess the "life of a swing" is do what you see and then when you get onstage things will eventually make sense. We had some rehearsal today , but the focus was not on the ensemble tracks that I cover, so I still need to be patient and keep watching I suppose.
I'm off to the show now, one week from today is our big opening! Come see us soon!
Cheers! Kimilee

Hi Folks!
We started our last week of previews tonight! Next week is the big opening and it's very exciting. Our party will be downtown and I'll be sure to take some photos and share them with you all.
I have yet to be "on", which is good and bad, I suppose. It would be nice to have some rehearsal but I doubt that I'll get much before I really have to go on in one of the ensemble roles. I am going crazy not performing, but trying be patient and supportive of my talented colleagues. Eight shows a week is tough in any role!
Last night I went to another performance of "Broadway by the Year" at Town Hall. This time it was 1938 and it was one of the best casts I've seen there ( I think I've seen about 5 of the concerts). Highlights for me were Hugh Panaro ( No, I never got to do Phantom with him) and Aaron Lazar who sang beautifully. Emily Skinner did a gorgeous rendition of "I'll be seeing you", followed by an equally gorgeous ensemble singing with some lovely harmonies.
My pal HR, continues to not feel his best so Candice went with me and enjoyed as well. Well, I must get some sleep! Aria doesn't understand why I'm up so late these days! Cheers!

almost forgot! That's Don Brewer with me ( my fellow swing), we're doing "Anything You can do I can do better" from Annie Get Your Gun at a concert in December.

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day! We've had 2 weeks of previews now and the show just keeps getting better! I haven't actually been "on" yet, but my fellow swing, Tim Bish has been on for about 10 shows in 4 different "tracks" or ensemble dance roles.

Last Sunday we did this great event for Irish America where our producers were honored along with Senator Hilary Clinton as well as many others with Irish Ancestry. Check out the photo and see if you see me ( hint-I have red hair and am standing in front of a "Cheiftain" approximately on the 3rd row-end.
The other photo is from my recent Concert in Santa Fe with Broadway Sings with Natalie Toro ( we're doing "Bosom Buddies").
Candice and I actually went to an Irish Pub Saturday between shows, it was PACKED! But we were determined to celebrate and have traditional Irish Food.
Today has been a great day off, catching up with friends, family , yoga etc. And tomorrow we DON"T have rehearsal, hooray, I can do some other errands!Hope everybody has a great week! Cheers! Kimilee
