Happy Memorial Day! Thanks to all who served our country! PQ has been doing well this week! I've been "on" for 3 people this week and rehearsed Elizabeth as well as other roles.
It's awfully hot up here this weekend, makes me want to go to the beach or the mountains! Hope you all are having a relaxing weekend! Go see a show! Photos are "Broadway Sings" at the Becket Fund Concert of "Camelot" and Candice receiving her 25th year of dance award from Karen's Dance Academy last weekend! She's barely 25 years old! I remember her first recital! A Star was born!
Cheers to all!

Hi Folks! More photos and events to share! Last week I did a concert of Camelot with "Broadway Sings" in NYC ( pictured with Ivan Rutherford as Arthur). Also Candice tapping away to "Puttin' on the Ritz" at Karen's Dance Academy's annual recital. And the Cromers and Bryants at the recital, a family traditional photo!

The Pirate Queen won the softball game Thursday against Company! I didn't get to play since I was at rehearsal, but it's fun to finally get to rehearse as Queen Elizabeth.

Well, hopefully this week will be a great one for all of you and you'll see a Broadway Show or an opera!
Oh, one more photo of my "kitchen" progress!

Cheers!

Happy Mothers' Day!
So, it's been a little while since I've written. Shows are going well, I've been "on" for 4 ensemble ladies and have begun rehearsing Elizabeth. Despite crtics reviews, we get a wonderful response from the audiences! All my friends who have come to see it, find a lot to love! Thanks Karen McNamara and Aaron Blank and family for after show visits and for supportng us! SC had been represented pretty well up here!
Candice is back in Greenville preparing for the annual dance recital at Furman ( Friday at 7:30 pm), and I just did a concert Thursday here in NYC of Camelot at the Metropolitan Club with Broadway Sings (www.broadwaysings.com) . They let me have the day off from Pirate Queen.
This photo is from my friend's opening and debut at The Metropolitan Opera ( Wayne Tigges on my Right). David Daniels, my "old" pal from SC is also pictured, he played the title role that evening in Julius Cesar and had become the world's foremost countertenor! And to think he grew up in "Sparkle City" and his parents were both teachers of mine at Converse.
Anyway, have a great week, I'll try to do more posting!
PS vote for our "Pirate Queen", Stephanie J Block on www.broadway.com for "Diva Performance" on the audience awards!
Cheers!
Kimilee
