June 30, 2007
Well, we've been closed nearly two weeks now and I haven't slowed down a bit. My kitchen is finally done so I threw a party ( also for my birthday)! Our last show was wonderful , with a very supportive audience and afterwards we all gathered ( after cleaning out our stuff) at Kevin St. James for our closing party. Here I am pictured with Claude-Michele Schoenberg and Alain Boublil, authors. Also photos from my party with some of the PQ gang and my dear friends, HR and Roger. I recently did a concert with Roger and other Broadway musicians in Rockland Coumnty, NY. I've also been working with Worldstrides ( A Tour Co.) in NYC and have seen shows: Tarzan, Blue Man Group, The Year of Magical Thinking, Deuce and tomorrow, 110 in the Shade .
Candice and I leave Monday for SC! I'll be attending the Miss SC Thursday evening and the Gala on Friday ( autograph session afterwards).
I hope to see you all at the theatre!

Cheers!

The Tonys and our last week!
Well, there weren't any real surprises except the pleasant ones like David Hyde Pierce winning and PQ being represented after all! I loved Julie White's reaction and speech as well as Mary Louise Wilson's and Christine Ebersole's, if only I could have been there---maybe next year!
These photos are from yesterday when I was "on" for Jen, I may do one more this week, but there are only eight more shows at the Hilton, hopefully there will be a future for this show, but for now the chapter will end June 17 at around 5:35 PM, come see us!
I'll post my concerts and other shows as soon as I have confirmations.
Cheers!

Sadly, The Broadway Production of The Pirate Queen will close June 17, 2007. It has been a real learning experience for me and I'm grateful that I was able to work near my home for a while and earn another Broadway credit. I regret I wasn't able to to perform Queen Elizabeth ( I know we have 2 weeks left, but it's doubtful). There are plans for a European Tour, so who knows!? For now I hope we can fill the house for our last shows ( I perform both shows Saturday and the matinee this Sunday). Come see us at The Hilton!
I'll probably spend some time in SC this summer, possibly doing a play and I'll be doing some concerts in the tri-state area as well. Auditions, teaching, organizing my apartment, painting and remodeling. I have plenty to do! I'll miss that Irish dancing though!
Pictured are the company of The Pirate Queen with producers and creators ( and Hillary Clinton), and Candice, Jessica Cromer and myself at Karen's Dance Academy's recital.
Cheers!
Kimilee
