Hello from the FREEZING mid-west!

I'm in Omaha where we open tomorrow evening. Louisville was lovely ( cold there too). I did enjoy some of the hot spots downtown ( Proof, Red Star Tavern, Maker's Mark Lounge) and travelled to Nashville last Monday to work more on the new CD, adding the wonderful Nashville Strings to many of the tracks. STAY TUNED!

We had a rehearsal last Thursday where I did Carlotta for the first time in a year and a half, it's all coming back to me ( when I don't mess up and sing Christine's lines).

It was tough to leave NYC, but I got some nice mentions in several newspapers and websites regarding my "Princess Ida" perfromances.

Miss America was interesting this year, I liked some of what they did, but I did NOT like how they eliminated some of the contestants before they performed! I mean why not eliminate them after swimsuit like the others-they got dressed and warmed up...

Oh, and that makes all 3 preliminary talent winners not in the final 8, meaning we didn't see ANY of the talent winners. Those of us who have been involved know though, that the winner is always chosen from the interviews and it's too bad the public doesn't see that. It just looks to most people as if the talent is poor to mediocre. Show some of the interviews!!

RE: SC Primary-without revealing my views, I thought that was intersting as well, just as FL was tonight!
Re: SAG awards-Fairly predictable-Best Dressed: America Ferrera!

Ok, Stay warm! I'm sure Omaha will be fun and I look forward to reconnecting with a Converse Pal, Stacie H., but today I wish we were in Florida!

Cheers!
