We've survived ( almost), the weather is getting much nicer, and we've certainly made our mark on this city! There have been many birthday, farewell, and general parties here. We have mostly hung out at a pub, called Winston's where we'll probably be a few more times before we leave.
I leave the tour ( for now) in this city and go right back to the Broadway Company as soon as I can drive there and have rehearsals, fittings etc. That will be another temporary gig as I'll be filling in for a gal who covers a lot of roles and is in the ensemble . It will be so nice to be in my home and catch up with friends and MANY projects. I'll also finish up work on my CD, which we now plan to get out by August!
Tonight was an interesting show...during the managers' second scene in Act 2, the Fire Curtain came down, we literally stopped the show ( which we did not do during the small earthquake in Costa Mesa during the same scene). It was very surreal, and as it turns out I was the main person nearly hit! "Madame Giry"pretty much saved my life! She said "Heads Up"... I had noticed the lights coming up and eventually saw what was happening... We waited ( in front of the audience) for the go ahead and went back a bit and on with the show! Gotta Love Live theatre!
