Summertime, an the livin' is easy... Not quite! So from Saskatoon, I drove for 3 solid days back to NYC. It's so great to be in my home!! I went directly back into the Broadway production of Phantom, with no time off , but it's been great. I'm covering "Carlotta" and have performed it 3 times since I've been back, but most days I'm doing an ensemble role that's not very taxing at all ( of course doing anything 8 X a week plus rehearsals gets tough after a while). I'm just grateful to have work and am having a great time renewing friendships there and making new ones!
I'll be there through July 12 and then I'll head to NC and SC to see friends , family and put final touches on the CD, yes folks we've postponed the release date, but it's happening August 16! That happens to be my Mom's birthday, I'll be in Greenville to do a little show for her in the afternoon at her studio ( for kids) and speak at the Travelers Rest Bicentennial that evening ( details to come on "news" page).
I've seen a few shows since I've been back ( we have Sundays off): South Pacific ( gorgeous and so ahead of it's time), Grease ( the kids from the TV show were great), and Sunday in the Park with George ( LOVED!!). See a show somewhere this summer ( come see me as "Carlotta" in San Diego July 28- August 10 if you're near)!
Stay Cool!
