Hi Ya'll! Hope you're all having a wonderful summer!I'm finishing up my latest Broadway gig in Phantom this week and then I'll be heading to South Carolina to put finishing touches on the CD, hopefully get a little R&R in while doing a few interviews for upcoming appearances there. I leave for San Diego from Greenville ( longest flight ever for Aria) where I'll rejoin the tour of Phantom for 3 weeks (until August 10). I'll play Carlotta July 28- August 10. After that it's back to NYC for a few appointments and then back to SC for the release of the CD and some appearances there in Travelers Rest ( bicentennial celebration-August 16); Greenville ( Karen's Dance Academy) kids show in the afternoon TBA and more possible appearances to come through August 22 ( stay tuned to "News"). I've had a few rough breaks last week and yesterday, but things are looking up and I'm thinking positive!! I had a great photo shoot with Mark BradleyMiller for the CD, so you'll be seeing those shots soon here and on myspace etc! Photos here are: Me as hostess to some the Phantom Broadway Cast and NY G& S Players at my Birthday gathering; me as Carlotta for "Masquerade"-Broadway and "Aria" on the 4th of July! Cheers! Kimilee

Summertime, an the livin' is easy... Not quite! So from Saskatoon, I drove for 3 solid days back to NYC. It's so great to be in my home!! I went directly back into the Broadway production of Phantom, with no time off , but it's been great. I'm covering "Carlotta" and have performed it 3 times since I've been back, but most days I'm doing an ensemble role that's not very taxing at all ( of course doing anything 8 X a week plus rehearsals gets tough after a while). I'm just grateful to have work and am having a great time renewing friendships there and making new ones! I'll be there through July 12 and then I'll head to NC and SC to see friends , family and put final touches on the CD, yes folks we've postponed the release date, but it's happening August 16! That happens to be my Mom's birthday, I'll be in Greenville to do a little show for her in the afternoon at her studio ( for kids) and speak at the Travelers Rest Bicentennial that evening ( details to come on "news" page). I've seen a few shows since I've been back ( we have Sundays off): South Pacific ( gorgeous and so ahead of it's time), Grease ( the kids from the TV show were great), and Sunday in the Park with George ( LOVED!!). See a show somewhere this summer ( come see me as "Carlotta" in San Diego July 28- August 10 if you're near)!
Stay Cool! Kimilee

Last days in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada... We've survived ( almost), the weather is getting much nicer, and we've certainly made our mark on this city! There have been many birthday, farewell, and general parties here. We have mostly hung out at a pub, called Winston's where we'll probably be a few more times before we leave.I leave the tour ( for now) in this city and go right back to the Broadway Company as soon as I can drive there and have rehearsals, fittings etc. That will be another temporary gig as I'll be filling in for a gal who covers a lot of roles and is in the ensemble . It will be so nice to be in my home and catch up with friends and MANY projects. I'll also finish up work on my CD, which we now plan to get out by August!Tonight was an interesting show...during the managers' second scene in Act 2, the Fire Curtain came down, we literally stopped the show ( which we did not do during the small earthquake in Costa Mesa during the same scene). It was very surreal, and as it turns out I was the main person nearly hit! "Madame Giry"pretty much saved my life! She said "Heads Up"... I had noticed the lights coming up and eventually saw what was happening... We waited ( in front of the audience) for the go ahead and went back a bit and on with the show! Gotta Love Live theatre!Photos are of Jenn Chin ( my fab wig/hairdresser) and me at Opening night festivities in Saskatoon. Some the gals & I celebrating Anne K's birthday at "our" hang-out Winston'sSee Ya on Broadway!!Kimileewww.myspace.com/kimileebryant ( new photos)www.myspace.com/kimileebryantkbinternational ( more photos/info)
Saskatoon, SK Canada! April 28, 2008 Hello from the North!! What a shock after being in very warm San Antonio and fairly warm Orange County, CA! I drove for just over two days through 5 states and a blizzard in Canada! The first week has been pretty cold, snowy, rainy and a bit dreary, but yesterday and today have been clear and it's warming up! The Opening night party was great and held within my hotel so that was easy for me, there was plenty to eat and drink and fun was had by all... The audiences have not been as responsive as most in the states ( especially those in TX and CA which were so great!). Honestly it does make it a bit of a tougher show when you don't get that. It's already a tough one for most of us, so we count on that energy from the audience. Perhaps these folks aren't used to lots of shows coming through or some think they are seeing an opera and also think they should not laugh or respond. That's not true for an opera either, if it's funny laugh! That's how we know we're doing our job! And at the curtain call, believe me, we NEED that applause and vocal responses are encouraged as well. OK, that's enough of that! Actually the folks I've met at the party, the local crew, folks at the YMCA and around town are very friendly and welcoming. We've been hanging out at a fun pub called "Winston's" and hopefully I'll get to check out the Irish Pub, O'Shea's. Today I walked around quite a bit, to the river and shopping a bit on 2nd Ave, just trying to relax and bit since it's been a rough week of travel and performing with new crew/dressers etc. Last night the Chandelier was still on stage for my entrance so it blocked my whole big entrance...upstaged by that darn chandelier---first time as Carlotta, there were a few times it malfunctioned when I was Christine and it was supposed to fall... Hopefully the rest of the time we're here we'll get nice weather and relaxed audiences! Cheers! Saskatoon! Greeting from Costa Mesa, CA! We finished our first week and first show of this week and I'm thoroughly exhausted after the long drive from San Antonio, all the shows, rehearsal and a fabulous day at Disneyland and CA adventure! I'll have little free time here due to our performing and rehearsal schedule, but I plan to get into LA next week to see friends, a couple of shows and just reconnect with folks out here. We've had plenty of sun, but it's not terribly warm, no beach for me yet! Hopefully this week! I might get back to Disney just to see the Aladdin show and ride Peter Pan and a few other things I missed! We also had a great opening night party here, some great food and great music that got us all dancing. I had to tear myself away and remind myself I had to do 4 more "Carlottas" in 2 days and was planning a long day at Disney! I'm working on getting that CD done ( or Joe, my engineer is working on it), we hope it'll be out this summer so stay tuned, I'll put samples on here! Have a great week! Hi Y'all from Texas!
It's our last week here in San Antonio and I made my "re debut" as Carlotta last night and will continue the role until May 17 ( check "news" page for specific dates and cities).
It's a tough role, but fun to be the "Diva" at times, Lots of "stuff" to wear and lots of high notes to sing! A few of my colleagues spoke to Girl Scouts after the show last night and when our stage manager opened the floor up for questions, one scout asked if we were singing live! You better believe it, Several high Cs C#s , Ds and one E every night for Carlotta!
San Antonio has been grand even if the weather has been wacky at times, I saw the River St. Patrick's parade last on Saturday, some of the "Luminara" Arts events and some of the Alamo reenactment activities. I've dined several places on the Riverwalk and at the Mercado and reunited with another college buddy. I've shopped, worked out at least 5 X a week at Gold's Gym ( THANKS Gold's in Live Oak!) , and had a little photo shoot with some of our "travelling photographers" ( photos coming soon to the site), but go a head and check out www.pbase.com/jtoddhiggins/kimilee , there were 5 guys taking photos, it was almost like I had my own paparazzi! I got a photo of them too when the police thought we were doing a photo shoot for commercial venture... I'm hoping to do some concerts this summer when my CD comes out so we'll put those on the news and hopefully we'll get around to your town! To book a concert email voice@kimileebryant.com for more information.
Have a wonderful, happy and safe EASTER, Purim and SPRING!! XX Kimilee
Texas! It's lovely here in San Antonio, though our day off yesterday was cold and super windy! But, it's back to 71 degrees today! Hillary & Obama seem to follow us wherever we go!The theatre here is beautiful as is the downtown Riverwalk where I've been a few times for dinner, I've also shopped at the Mercado which is a hoot. I look forward to some adventures here and will keep you updated. The photos are: Me on the Riverwalk in San Antonio and the others are me as Carlotta backstage with my friend Stacie and her daughter Veronica in Omaha at the Orpheum; also joined by her son Justin and fellow Phantom actor and Converse grad Kirk Von Robinson at "Upstream" on Omaha.Come see us in San Antonio, I begin Carlotta March 18 -23rd here in TX!XX Kimileewww.myspace.com/kimileebryantkbinternational
